Firelight was my absolute highlight of 2025. It even trumped Burning Man for me, which should tell you everything. This is one of the sweetest, safest, and sexiest micro-festivals in central California, and it's truly exceptional.
What made it so special? Firelight was started as a collaboration of stellar Bay Area facilitators bringing their gifts—and we're all friends. That foundation shows in everything: The workshops were so good and so sexy that I couldn't get enough of them (and I normally skip workshops at festivals). The conscious play spaces had amazing DJs and the kind of authentic aliveness you only get when attuned community shows up ready to play. I made new connections that surprised me. Deepened with friends I adore. And found myself in spaces where I could explore as an emotional, primal, and somatic being.
This year's theme is Lovers in the Wild, and the festival is moving to a breathtaking new venue in the Sierra Foothills near Yosemite—92 acres of rolling hills, swimming holes, and spacious movement halls.

I'm bringing my workshop The Art of the Threesome back to Firelight—and this year, we'll have a bigger space. Last year, the tent was bursting—so many people squeezed in that we ran out of room.
